Storytellers provide material for National Geographic Society’s Field Notes blog throughout their grant term and have the opportunity to pitch stories for other National Geographic platforms. National Geographic also provide editorial mentorship for Fellows during their Fulbright grant period. In addition to receiving standard Fulbright benefits (for travel, stipend, health, etc.) and a materials and reporting special allowance, Storytellers receive instruction in storytelling techniques, including effective blog writing, video production, photography, public speaking, and other relevant training by National Geographic staff prior to their departure. Storytellers may use a variety of storytelling tools-including, but not limited to writing, photography, video, audio/podcasts, maps, or graphic illustrations to share their stories. The National Geographic Society’s focus areas are: Oceans, Land, Wildlife, Human History & Cultures, and Human Ingenuity. The Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship has accepted proposals to undertake an in-depth examination of a globally relevant issue as an enhancement to their Fulbright research or arts project. This Fellowship is made possible through a partnership between the U.S. Student grantees to participate in an academic year of storytelling on a globally significant theme. Student Program, provides opportunities for selected Fulbright U.S. The Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship, a component of the Fulbright U.S. Student application in Slate, and semi-finalists will be invited to submit additional materials for National Geographic in late January/early February 2023. The new Fulbright-National Geographic opportunity will build on the success of our previous Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship (see below).
This new opportunity is best suited to applicants whose proposed projects align with the missions of both the Fulbright Program and the National Geographic Society, and who have a strong commitment to communicating their work. Payment may be required before copying or mailing.The Fulbright Program and the National Geographic Society will offer a new opportunity for the 2023-2024 U.S.

The County will charge a fee of $0.15 per copy plus the cost of mailing. Within five business days of receipt of the request the county will either: (1) provide the record(s) OR (2) acknowledge the request and provide a reasonable time estimate for the response OR (3) deny the request. Please submit a separate request to each independent department you are seeking records from.
Written requests: To submit a request in writing complete the Request for Public Records form and send the form to the Public Records Coordinator of the department where the record was created and maintained. SUBMIT A PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST THROUGH THE PORTAL. Review the commonly requested records prior to submitting a public records request.
